Born in Huddersfield, April Sinclair was the first woman to join the Institute of Professional Journals and to receive the Order of the British Empire. She was also a past member of The Society of Authors and The Writers' Guild of Great Britain. Her first book, The Iceberg: My Autobiography, was published in 2009 and is now available as an eBook. April is a regular columnist for the London Evening Standard and has made many appearances on television, radio and at literary events.
